Moritz Tewinkel is a Director of Photography based in Berlin and Munich, working across narrative film, commercials and music videos.

With a background in the lighting department, his work is strongly driven by atmosphere and emotional precision, using light as a central storytelling tool. He gravitates towards wide lenses, a close and moving camera, and visual approaches that feel intimate and grounded in the characters. Whether working with bold lighting concepts or restrained natural light, his focus is always on serving the story and the director’s vision.

Currently studying film in Munich, Moritz places great value on collaboration and sees cinematography as a shared creative process that evolves through trust, dialogue and a strong team dynamic.
